This role is the operational engine of the client relationship — gathering requirements, writing briefs, moving work through the agency, and keeping both the client and the internal team informed.</p><p>The AE is expected to know their accounts in detail: what is in scope, what is in progress, what is at risk, and what is coming next. Over time, the role grows toward broader relationship ownership and strategic contribution.</p><p><strong>Core Functions</strong></p><ul><li>MANAGE - Own day-to-day communication and execution on assigned accounts.</li><li>BRIEF - Translate client requests into clear, complete direction for internal teams.</li><li>COORDINATE - Keep work moving between the client, creative, digital, and production.</li><li>TRACK - Monitor scope, budget, schedule, and deliverable status.</li><li>ANTICIPATE - See what the client will need next and get ahead of it.</li></ul><p><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Client Communication</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as day-to-day contact for assigned clients.</li><li>Respond promptly, accurately, and professionally to client requests.</li><li>Prepare agendas, take notes, and issue recaps with clear action items and owners.</li><li>Escalate risks, conflicts, and scope questions to the Director of Client Services early.</li></ul><p><strong>Project Execution</strong></p><ul><li>Write creative and project briefs; gather all assets, approvals, and background needed.</li><li>Route work through internal review and secure client approvals.</li><li>Partner with the Project Manager on timelines and status.</li><li>Proof and quality-check deliverables before they reach the client.</li><li>Coordinate deliverable handoff, launch, and post-launch confirmation.</li></ul><p><strong>Commercial Support</strong></p><ul><li>Track hours and scope on assigned projects.</li><li>Flag out-of-scope requests rather than absorbing them.</li><li>Support Statement of Work and estimate preparation.</li><li>Maintain accurate records in the agency's project and financial systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Reporting &amp; Growth</strong></p><ul><li>Compile campaign performance reporting in partnership with the Digital Team.</li><li>Contribute observations and ideas to client planning conversations.</li><li>Direct and support Account Coordinators on assigned accounts.</li></ul><p><strong>What Success Looks Like</strong></p><ul><li>Clients get timely, accurate, professional responses</li><li>Briefs are complete enough that creative and digital teams do not have to chase details.</li><li>Nothing goes to a client with an error that should have been caught internally.</li><li>Status is always current — nobody has to ask where something stands.</li><li>Scope issues are flagged before they become write-offs.</li><li>The AE steadily takes on more relationship responsibility.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.</li><li>2–4 years of agency account or client-facing marketing experience.</li><li>Experience writing briefs and managing projects through creative and digital teams.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage many concurrent deliverables.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication.</li><li>Proficiency with project management tools and Google/Microsoft productivity suites.</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.</li></ul><p><strong>Core Values in Action</strong></p><ul><li>Authenticity — Says what is actually happening on a project, including when it is behind.</li><li>Generosity — Protects internal teammates' time by getting briefs right the first time.</li><li>Focus — Manages a high volume of detail without dropping any of it.</li><li>Beauty — Catches the errors and inconsistencies that would undermine good work.</li><li>Hustle — Digs in and finds a way when a client deadline moves, without quietly committing the team to the impossible.</li></ul><p><strong>About Experience Fresh</strong></p><p>Experience Fresh is a full-service, independent advertising and marketing agency headquartered in St. Louis.
